Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Kindra DNA Testing website and services, including ordering test kits, booking appointments and receiving DNA testing services. By using our website or services you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to order a test or create an account with Kindra. If you are ordering a test that involves a participant under 18, you must be their parent or legal guardian and provide written consent on their behalf.

Our services

Kindra provides relationship DNA testing services including but not limited to paternity, maternity, sibling, grandparentage, avuncular, twin zygosity, legal paternity, immigration, inheritance and early gender reveal testing. Services may be accessed by ordering a home collection kit or visiting our laboratory in person.

Accuracy of results

Our tests are processed in our own accredited laboratory and deliver a minimum accuracy of 99.9% when a biological relationship is confirmed and 100% exclusion when it is not. While we maintain the highest standards of accuracy, no DNA test can guarantee a result of 100% probability due to the statistical nature of genetic analysis.

In rare cases a result may be inconclusive due to sample quality. If this occurs we will provide a replacement kit at no additional cost.

Personal vs legal testing

Personal tests are intended for private use only and cannot be used as evidence in court or for official government purposes. Legal tests follow a strict chain of custody process and produce results admissible in legal and government proceedings. It is your responsibility to select the correct test type for your needs. Personal test results cannot be upgraded to legal status after collection.

Ordering and payment

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Prices for our services and kits are listed on our website and may be updated from time to time. Payment must be completed at the time of ordering through our secure payment provider.

Sample collection

For home collection kits, you are responsible for following the included instructions accurately. Kindra is not responsible for inconclusive results caused by improper sample collection, contamination or failure to follow instructions, although we will provide a free replacement kit in such cases.

For legal and immigration tests, sample collection must be carried out by an approved Kindra sampler at an accredited collection point. Self-collected samples are not accepted for these test types.

Shipping and returns

Kits are dispatched within 24 hours of order confirmation. Standard delivery takes 2 to 3 business days, with express delivery available for orders placed before 12pm.

Unused and unopened kits may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. Opened kits cannot be returned for hygiene and integrity reasons. For full details, see our Refund Policy.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kindra shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to emotional distress arising from test results. Our total liability in connection with any order shall not exceed the amount paid for that order.

Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos and software, is the property of Kindra DNA Testing or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from this content without our written permission.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Travis County, Texas.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
