Kindra DNA Testing ("Kindra", "we", "us" or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal and biological information when you use our website, order a test kit or visit our laboratory.
By using our services you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information we collect
We collect the following types of information:
Personal information Your name, email address, phone number, postal address and date of birth when you create an account, place an order or contact us.
Biological samples and genetic data DNA samples submitted for testing and the genetic markers analysed to produce your test results. We do not store your complete genetic profile, only the specific markers required for your requested test.
Order and payment information Details of the tests and kits you order, including payment information processed securely through our third party payment provider. We do not store full payment card details.
Communication records Records of correspondence between you and our team including emails, phone calls and contact form submissions.
Website usage data Information collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
Process your test orders and deliver your results

Who can see your results
Your test results are delivered only to you, via secure email to the address you provide at the time of ordering. We do not share your results with any other test participant, family member, employer, insurer or government body unless you explicitly request it in writing or we are legally required to do so.
For legal and immigration tests, results may be shared directly with the relevant court, immigration authority or legal representative at your request as part of the chain of custody process.
Data retention
We retain your personal information and test records for 12 months following your test date. After this period your data is permanently deleted from our systems unless you request otherwise in writing or unless a longer retention period is required by law, particularly for legal and immigration test records.
Biological sample disposal
All biological samples submitted to our laboratory are securely destroyed within 30 days of your results being issued. We do not retain, sell, share or use your biological material for any purpose beyond the test you ordered.
Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information and genetic data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. This includes secure data storage, encrypted transmission of results and restricted access to laboratory systems.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Our services may involve testing minors under 18 where a parent or legal guardian provides consent and is present during sample collection. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without parental or guardian consent.
