Your Kindra DNA test results are delivered as a secure PDF report to your registered email address. The report is written in clear plain language and includes everything you need to understand the outcome of your test.

What the probability index means

For most relationship tests results are expressed as a probability index. This is a statistical measure of how likely a biological relationship is based on the DNA analysis.

For paternity and maternity tests:

• A probability of 99.9% or above confirms the biological relationship

• A probability of 0% is a complete exclusion — the tested person is not the biological parent

For sibling, grandparentage and avuncular tests:

• Results are expressed as a Relationship Index

• A value above 1.00 indicates the relationship is more likely than not

• A value below 1.00 indicates the relationship is unlikely

• Higher values indicate stronger statistical confidence

Why 99.9% and not 100%?

No DNA test in the world reports 100% probability of relationship. This is because DNA analysis works on statistical probability across genetic markers. A result of 99.9% is considered a confirmed relationship in both scientific and legal contexts worldwide.

What if my results are inconclusive?

In rare cases a result may be inconclusive, usually due to a low quality sample. If this happens our team will contact you immediately and arrange for a free replacement kit to be sent. There is no additional charge for retesting due to sample quality issues.
